Early life and education
Odunayo Eweniyi was born to two university professors in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Having parents that have attained the highest of education, you can assume that Odunayo’s family will be very strict about her education. And you are right!
Her parents made sure she had top grades in her primary and secondary school education. After graduation, she was enrolled at Covenant University, an institution that has many notable alumni.
Although Odunayo Eweniyi has always wanted to study Medicine, she changed her mind at the eleventh hour. She realized that she lacked the empathy needed to be a doctor. She eventually studied Computer Engineering at Covenant University.
In 2013, she graduated with a First Class Honours and received her Bachelor of Engineering (BEng).
In 2018, Odunayo obtained her Full Stack Web Development certificate in Computer Software Engineering, from FreeCodeCamp.
In 2020, she enrolled at the SOAS University of London for a master’s degree in Finance.
Odunayo Eweniyi is also a very fluent speaker of the English and French languages.

From March 2012 to August 2012, Odunayo Eweniyi had her Industrial Training at Total Energies. She served as an Intern in this company. Odunayo was still a student of Covenant University at that time.

Odunayo Eweniyi was returning from a job interview when she had a reunion with Somtochukwu Ifezue, her would-be co-founder and colleague at Covenant University.
Somto saw her first and called out her name. The duo met and shared their experiences since they graduated. At this time, Somto Ifezue was working as the Lead Developer for SAJ Parolz Entertainment, a discount card startup. Odunayo Eweniyi decided to join this team.

Co-founded startups
PushCV
PushCV started as CV Flash, a platform that helped people to write resumes. Most of their clients are people that have poor English skills or little experience in writing CVs.
Along the line, many clients asked them to not only write their CVs but also send them to companies and individual employers on their behalf. And that’s how PushCV was born!
In 2014, Odunayo Eweniyi, Joshua Chibueze, Somto Ifezue, and two other people co-founded PushCV in Lagos State.
Apart from being a co-founder, Odunayo Eweniyi is also the Chief Operations Officer at PushCV.
PiggyVest (formally Piggy Bank)
In January 2016, after PushCV became a success, Odunayo Eweniyi co-founded PiggyVest together with Joshua Chibueze and Somtochukwu Ifezue.
Odunayo is currently the Chief Operations Officer at PiggyTech Global Limited, while Joshua Chibueze is the Chief Marketing Officer. Somto Ifezue is the Lead Product Engineer.

Career awards and achievements
As a woman that has made several impacts in the technology sector, Odunayo Eweniyi has won many awards and achievements.
1. Odunayo Eweniyi won the Best Graduating Student Award in Computer Engineering. This was in July 2013, when she graduated from Covenant University with a first-class degree.
2. In 2018, Odunayo Eweniyi also won the Future Awards Africa Prize in Technology
3. Odunayo Eweniyi was listed in Forbes Africa’s list of 20 New Wealth Creators in Africa 2019.
4. In that same year, in 2019, Odunayo was on Forbes Africa’s list of 30 under 30 in Technology.
5. For a third time in 2019, she was mentioned as one of 30 Quartz Africa Innovators.
6. In 2020, Odunayo Eweniyi was nominated for The Future Awards Africa Prize for Young Person of The Year.
7. In that same 2020, she was also featured on Bloomberg 50 2020.
8. Odunayo Eweniyi was listed on Time 100 Next 2021. This was as a result of the contributions she made in October 2020, during the End SARS protests in Nigeria.
